Massage Therapy - Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Decongestive Therapy

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

I have over 20 years of combined experience in massage therapy, osteopathy and manual lymphatic drainage. My restorative treatments combine all of my skills to provide optimal results in all stages of healing of injured body systems including nervous system, circulatory, lymph, muscular reproductive, digestive and endocrine systems. I am a certified lymphedema therapist, and offer a unique service called: Decongestive lymphatic massage. It can be combined with compression therapy or used on its own as manual lymph drainage. It can help prevent and treat all stages of lymphedema, in which lymphatic fluid collects in certain areas of the body because it cannot drain away effectively. Lymphatic massage aims to improve the flow of lymph fluid, which should reduce swelling. Compression therapy provides compression wrapping and the use of custom fitted compression garments to treat lymphedema. I am also a trained fitter for such compression garments. Manual osteopathy treatments involve manipulation of the body’s tissues and bones, to provide equilibrium and balance within the body as a whole. Includes specialized techniques as cranial sacral therapy, gua sha, cupping therapy and visceral osteopathy. All three services can benefit every single client and are covered by most private health insurance plans.
